The Three Stooges
The Three Stooges: "Violent is the
Word for Curly"
The short begins with an All Girl
College, Mildew College, with some of
the administrators begging the
school's largest benefactor, Mrs.
Catsby to provide an athletic fund for
the school. She does not approve of
girls playing sports, and informs the
administrators that the money will be
used for the salaries of the three new
European professors that are arriving
that day.
Meanwhile, The Three Stooges have
just started a new job as servicemen at
a service station. The motto is "Super
Service." When they get a customer
with three older German men, they
proceed to provide their brand of
"super service", angering the
customers. The mayhem ends when
Curly accidentally puts gasoline in the
radiator and Moe checks it with a
match. The resulting explosion
prompts the Stooges to flee in a
nearby Ice Cream truck that they had
coincidentally thrown the German
mens' suitcases into. Curly climbs in
the back while Moe and Larry are in
the front.
The Three Stooges - The Brideless
Groom (1947)
In one scene, Christine McIntyre
discovers that Shemp is not the
"Cousin Basil" she thought he was,
and slaps him around, then punches
him and knocks him through the door.
McIntyre, who was not a professional
stuntwoman, leaned too far in when
she "punched" Shemp, and actually
did hit him, breaking his nose. The
sequence was left in the picture

Marx Brothers
Horse Feathers (1932)
The mad-cap film - a zany take-off on
college education (and football), is
known for its fast-paced, non-sequitor,
inconsistent nature as was typical of all
Marx Brothers films. The plot affords
many opportunities for the comedic
team to show off their anarchic style of
humor, with many pun-filled, absurd,
non-sensical bits of dialogue, insults,
idiosyncracies, and one-liners.

Animals Crackers_(1930)

Groucho Marx, Chico Marx, Harpo
Marx, and Zeppo Marx, as well as
Lillian Roth and Margaret Dumont. It
was directed by Victor Heerman and

Broadway play by George S. Kaufman
and Morrie Ryskind, also starring the
Marx Brothers and Margaret Dumont.

Monthy Python_
_The Holy Grail
Monty Python's Flying Circus, the
British comedy group which gained
fame via BBC-TV, send-up Arthurian
legend, performed in whimsical fashion
with Graham Chapman an effective
straight man as King Arthur.
Story deals with Arthur's quest for the
Holy Grail and his battles along the
way with various villains and is
basically an excuse for set pieces,
some amusing, others overdone.
Running gags include lack of horses
for Arthur and his men, and a lackey
clicking cocoanuts together to make
suitable hoof noises as the men trot
along. The extravagantly gruesome
fight scenes, including one which ends
with a man having all four limbs
severed, will get laughs from some and
make others squirm.

The Best of Mr. Bean
An hour and twelve minutes of the
very best skits by Rowan Atkinson
Mr. Bean being dropped from the
heavens fully grown, and it certainly
seems that way. He has a complete
ignorance of how to do many simple
tasks, but is also incredibly creative
and usually can come up with a
solution to any problem that a smarter
man would never think of. Driving
around in a Mini with his faithful teddy
bear, he also has a nasty habit of
knocking over three-wheeled cars
